"19 Percent of the Nation's Voters Strongly Approve of the Way that Barack Obama Is Performing His Role as President."

I've been asked before what I mean by one of the terms that I've previously coined -- "leftist 20 percenters." Therefore, I feel an occasional obligation to provide a demonstrative exhibit.

Postscript: Only two very quick thoughts on Tuesday's East Coast Earthquake: (1) Any suggestion Bush cannot be blamed for this earthquake is exceedingly naive; and (2) Two words -- global gun control.

  1. "Whomever Owns the Beatles Catalog Should Sue Darth Vader Over That Title"

But that is NOT the title of the Beatles song. NOR is it the lyric.

  2. LOL! You're correct. I read it quickly as "my life" rather than "my time." Still, though, I think I'll leave it up a bit longer before deleting. I knew the Beatles song was "In My Life" -- just totally misread Cheney's title. But he deserves it.

And for the record: I did actually "LOL" when I read about my error. I rarely type "LOL" because, frankly, I rarely actually "laugh out loud." At least at other people. I do crack myself up on a regular basis, however.

Final thought: That error -- am I going Pat Summit over here? Early signs of dementia? Forget "I'm a Man, I'm 40." It may become, "I'm a Vegetable, but I Forget."

  3. David seemed fairly riled up over the whole matter, no? Isn't All Caps supposed to be the equivalent of shouting? But regardless, I deleted the offending (and incorrect) sentence right away last night.

  4. Yes, David was having a bit of a thrombo over it, I think! ha! It's all good now =)

  5. Most of my life has always involved a small circle of real friends, most of whom always seem to be even crazier than me. David fits right in.

  6. We're all lucky to have a small circle of real friends - it's not the quantity, but the quality...thanks for being one, Rager =)

  8. Haha... didn't mean to be such a curmudgon (sp?). I must have been having a "bad day".

Wonderfully level-headed and gracious response, though, I.R. Man. :)

  9. Thanks David. But you were right. I totally glossed over that title, reading it as "In My Life". I still chalk it up to one of two things, since I pride myself on not making such gross errors: (1) Either I'm movin' too fast these days; or (2) I'm movin' a bit slower due to early-age onset of alzeimers. Or worst yet: BOTH maybe! As I said -- I'm 40! I Forget!
