No "Cojones"?

Over the weekend, Sarah Palin suggested on Fox News that Obama lacks the "cojones" to take on illegal immigration (first link below). First of all, she's wrong on the substance: It's not a lack of "cojones" on Obama's part but rather a lack of any political will -- much like George W. Bush -- the do anything about our porous border with Mexico, while meantime it's doubtless that dozens or perhaps even hundreds of Al Qaeda operatives have already poured over that very border in recent years.

Let's talk turkey without any bull$hit or sugercoating (since I've grown rather sick of playing nice with these two awful parties and the idiot ideologues who support and apologize for them): Obama wants the border wide-open because the democrat party loves the idea of even more potential democrat party voters flooding into the US. Meanwhile, jerkwad republicans like Bush don't give a rat's behind about the border (instead only lip service) because of powerful business interests who want the cheap illegal immigrant labor. So the border remains dangerously unsecure, and few in these two parties really care.

But I digress, since that's not even my main point today. The use of a term like "cojones" by a top political figure, and in particular accusing another political figure of "lacking cojones," has absolutely no place in any manner of civil political discourse amongst mature human beings. But alas, we have very view civil or mature human beings in either of these two parties. Recall, by way of just one of probably hundreds of examples, the report of Obama's use of the vile term "teabaggers" last May (second link below). I might typically be inclined to laugh off some of this kind of foolishness from these politicians, but I'm not in much of a joking mood these days -- not while I continue to watch these two parties flush this wonderful country down the toilet on a daily basis.

  1. I want AZ Governor Jan Brewer to show papers to prove she’s a human being. I think it was FOX that did a show on extraterrestrials that live among us, and Governor Brewer does resemble some alien from a B Movie, “Invasion of the Brain Snatchers”, right? I’ve have my suspicions about people like Jan Brewer, Mitch McConnell and Karl Rove because of their lack of human qualities.

As far as the immigration issue goes… Republicans never made a big deal about immigration enforcement during Bush/Cheney but NOW all conservative hell is breaking loose… even though the Obama Administration is deporting MORE illegal’s than Bush ever did. Maybe we should adopt Ronald Wilson Reagan’s immigration policy (look it up morons)

And funny how I didn’t hear NOT ONE WORD on the Cable News about AZ Gov. Jan Brewer’s connection with the Corrections Corp of America. Not to mention I could stop this immigration problem with one thing… ARREST ALL THOSE conservative business people WHO ARE HIRING THE ILLEGAL WORKERS! Republican Party = Hypocrisy

On 7-28-10 I was watching Republicans on Morning Joe (MSNBC) preach about being ADULTS when it comes to our economic meltdown. I say BS! The real ADULTS are trying to demand accountability from those who got us in this financial mess. Republicans want to shift the burden of responsibility on
American working class, teachers, poor people, unions and immigrants.

I wonder if the spoiled Silver Spoons on Morning Joe knew how much they hurt Democrats, Progressives, Liberals when they didn’t challenge NJ Gov. Christie. NOW all over the internet the Conservative wacko groupies are swooning all over Christie like he was a rock star. Of course, because of these Republican low grade thought processes, the right wing monkeys now consider American working class, teachers, poor people, unions and immigrants the biggest threat to our economy

What kind of Americans are stupid enough to believe that decent wages, decent working conditions, enforcing again regulation, reforming our broken financial system and broken healthcare are BAD THINGS! Especially letting all those tax breaks for the rich expire (ten years is enough!) so the rich can again pay their fair share. When the Republicans were running things they started two wars they did not want to finish, set us up for financial system failure and took tax dollars away from grade schools to give BP tax breaks/subsidies (Corporate Welfare). DON’T BELIEVE ME, you rightwing numbskulls, CHECK IT OUT FOR YOURSELVES! consciousmc.blogspot.com

  2. SPO101 -- That's quite the rant. Hey, I'm good at those too. Thanks for the comment. I might not be in your camp, but I always appreciate my commenters, especially since most right-wingers and left-wingers want NOTHING to do with the likes of me. You feel free to return anytime and vent to your heart's content. It's the wonderful freedom of expression that we have in this country that first and foremost makes it great! ;)

  3. And BTW, SPO101? Why do capitalize republican? I don't EVER capitalize that word or democrat, for that matter -- rather only Independent. That sort of caught my eye as I looked back over your post. Why capitalize anything that you have an utter lack of respect for (sorry Jeeves to again end a sentence on a preposition)? At least, that's the way I look at things.

  4. And last but not least: The little Shameless Self-Promotion link at the end of SPO101's comment! That's a dude after my own heart, right there, even if I happen to be in a slighly different political place than him (presuming he's a him -- I really have no idea -- plenty of angry of ladies out there too). In my book, there's nothing cooler than the guy or gal who realizes the virtues of a little Shameless Self-Promotion! Hell, That's a Badge of Honor in My Book!
